Padel Tennis in Rothamsted Park, Harpenden

Padel PASS brings padel to Rothamsted Park, Harpenden

Padel Pass Partners with The Harpenden Town Council to Bring Two Outdoor Padel Courts to Rothamsted Park!

We’re thrilled to announce that, subject to planning approval, Padel Pass, in partnership with The Harpenden Town Council, will bring two state-of-the-art outdoor padel courts to Rothamsted Park.

With no existing padel courts currently in Harpenden, this project offers an exciting opportunity to introduce a fast-growing, inclusive sport to the heart of our hometown for the entire community to enjoy!

Existing Sports on Offer in Rothamsted Park

Covering 56 acres, Rothamsted Park already offers a wide range of sports and recreational facilities, including:

• A refurbished play area.
• The Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)
• Three tennis courts
• A skatepark
• Artificial grass football pitch.
• Marked out grass pitches for football and cricket

The Padel Site:

The new padel courts will be located near the southern boundary of Rothamsted Park, next to the existing MUGA within the park’s established sports zone.

The padel facility has been carefully designed in consultation with the Harpenden Town Council to integrate seamlessly into park’s landscape and complement the existing sports facilities.

What Padel Will Bring to Rothamsted Park!

This project offers a range of benefits for both the park and the wider Harpenden community:

• Introduce padel to Harpenden: an undersupplied, inclusive and highly desirable sport with both paid and free access opportunities.
• Enhancing local sports facilities: by expanding Rothamsted Park’s facilities and increasing access to recreational sport for Harpenden residents.
• Support Community Wellbeing: by working with the Harpenden Trust and its Wellbeing Hub to promote social and health initiatives, particularly for young people.
• Collaborate with Existing Sports Clubs & Business: to strengthen the sporting community in Harpenden and support grassroots sport.

Bringing the Vision to Life

As a Harpenden based business, deeply involved in Harpenden’s sporting community, our dream has always been to bring padel to Harpenden and to create a space where everyone can enjoy this incredible sport.

Planning permitted, this project will finally make that dream a reality and we’re beyond excited at the prospect of bringing padel tennis to the community we love.
