Padel Pass is Coming to Redbourn!

Padel Pass Is Bringing Padel to Redbourn Leisure Centre

We’re thrilled to announce that Padel Pass is partnering with the Redbourn Recreation Centre and Playing Fields Trust to bring padel to Redbourn Leisure Centre.

The new padel facility will form part of some exciting wider extension and improvement plans at the leisure centre that are already underway.

Those plans include:

• A first-floor extension and roof terrace
• A new linked sports hall building
• A new 3G football pitch with fencing and floodlighting
• New cricket nets, relocated turf pitches, and an artificial cricket pitch
• Improved cycle and car parking
• Landscaping enhancements

The padel venue, now submitted for planning permission, will sit between the existing bowls green and the cricket pitches. Targeted to open in Summer 2027, the venue will feature two state-of-the-art courts under a spacious canopy for year-round play, floodlit and open to all between 7am and 11pm.

Padel Pass Redbourn will bring the same coaching team, programmes, competitive opportunities and easy-to-use booking system, already operating at Padel Pass Harpenden and Padel Pass Luton. Players will not require a membership to play and Padel Pass will offer equipment rental facilities and free coached introduction to padel sessions as they do at their existing venues, to help as many new players discover the game as possible.

Founded by Harpenden locals in 2024, family owned operator Padel Pass is on a mission to bring a neighbourhood padel club within 10 minutes of everyone in their local catchment area, at prices people can trust, staffed by coaches who know them by name. The network will also borrow one of club tennis’s best traditions; inter-club team leagues, alongside Padel Pass’s existing intra-club leagues and tournament calendar. With venues already open in Harpenden and Luton, Padel Pass Redbourn is an exciting step in the journey towards the region’s best interconnected network of padel venues.
