Padel Tennis is Coming to Harpenden!

Padel Pass & HARPENDEN RUGBY CLUB PARTNER TO BRING PADEL TO HARPENDEN!

We’re thrilled to announce that Padel Pass is partnering with Harpenden Rugby Football Club (HRFC) to bring the world’s fastest-growing sport to our hometown!

HRFC: A Club Evolving Beyond Rugby

Many in the Harpenden area will already be familiar with HRFC, but what you might not know is just how much the club has transformed in recent years. What began as a hub for rugby has grown into a multi-sport destination for over 2,000 active members.

The club’s evolution began in 2018 with the installation of an RFU360 all-weather pitch, now one of the most utilised multi-sports AGPs in the country. Today, the pitch hosts a variety of sports including football, GAA and lacrosse, reflecting HRFC’s commitment to expanding its impact across the wider sporting community.

A Harpenden-Born Padel Company

Padel Pass was born in Harpenden, founded by locals Jack Howe, Tom Howe, George Howe and Alex March, a team deeply rooted in the town’s sporting community and united by a shared desire to bring padel tennis to Harpenden.

Subject to planning permission, we will be building four canopy-covered padel courts at HRFC, creating one of the finest padel facilities in Hertfordshire. This project represents more than just a facility, it’s a chance to connect people through sport, enhance community wellbeing, and support HRFC’s continued investment in grassroots sport.

Since day one, Padel Pass’s mission has been to establish a top-tier padel facility in our hometown. Partnering with one of the UK’s most respected amateur rugby clubs fills us with a great deal of pride, and we can’t wait to create something truly special for the Harpenden community.

A Word from David Horsley, Chairman of HRFC

“Our partnership with Padel Pass is part of a series of truly exciting developments taking place at HRFC. When you combine their expertise with our facilities, our shared values with our shared intent to develop sport for our community it made the decision to partner with Padel Pass very straightforward. This will not only provide our existing members with access to a fantastic new facility but will continue to strengthen our community ties and support Harpenden Town Council’s strategy to develop sport and wellbeing in Harpenden”.

We are thrilled to be bringing padel home, and we will be sharing more updates as the project progresses!
